For those carrying something that doesn't have a name yet.
Handmade creations for transition, grief and a life that's becoming.
I'm Emma Yellowaga — an intuitive artist and wayfinder working with materials from the natural world: feather, bone, shell, stone, quill, wood, wing.
I work with people moving through the significant transitions of a life — a death, a loss, a diagnosis, a becoming — and with those stepping toward something new. People come to sit with me, to have something made, or both. None of it is decided in advance. We follow what's needed.
This work holds the full spectrum — the grief and the joy, the weight and the laughter. It is not always solemn. Always it is honest.
I live and work on Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg territory in Ontario, Canada, beside the water and the cedar trees.
This work is for you if:
You have lost someone — recently, or years ago — and you're ready to give that grief somewhere to live.
You are in the middle of something changing — a relationship, a career, an identity, a version of yourself you've outgrown. You're looking for someone to sit with you in it, or something to mark the crossing. Or both.
You are stepping into something new — a change you've chosen, a life you're building — and you want something that marks the beginning. You arrive ready, even joyful. That is more than welcome.
You are a practitioner, healer, or artist who wants something that deepens your relationship to the medicine you carry.
You've found your way to one of the spirit-led pieces on this site and something in you already knows.
You don't need the right words for it. You just need to be carrying something real — or moving toward something true.
Made From Listening.
I work with people in the middle of something — not after it's resolved, not once they've figured out how to feel about it. In the middle, when nothing else quite holds it. Whether you've been carrying something quietly for years, or arriving full of what's possible — all of it is welcome here.
